Kocaeli B\u00fcy\u00fck\u015fehir Belediyesi, \u0130zmit K\u00f6rfezi\u2019nin korunmas\u0131 ve gelecek nesillere daha temiz bir \u00e7evre b\u0131rak\u0131lmas\u0131 hedefiyle deniz ve k\u0131y\u0131 temizli\u011fi \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131 kapsaml\u0131 ve sistematik bir \u015fekilde s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fcyor. Bu kapsamda karasal kaynakl\u0131 at\u0131klar\u0131n denize ula\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6nleyen dere bariyer sistemlerinden k\u0131y\u0131 \u015feridinde d\u00fczenli temizlik faaliyetlerine kadar \u00e7ok y\u00f6nl\u00fc \u00e7evre y\u00f6netimi anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131 ortaya koyuluyor. \u00c7evre Koruma ve Kontrol Dairesi Ba\u015fkanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 koordinasyonunda y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fclen \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar kapsam\u0131nda, \u0130zmit K\u00f6rfezi\u2019ne mansaplanan derelerde kurulan bariyer sistemiyle karasal kaynakl\u0131 at\u0131klar\u0131n denize ula\u015fmas\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde engellenirken; plastik, cam ve metal gibi at\u0131klar hen\u00fcz denize kar\u0131\u015fmadan kontrol alt\u0131na al\u0131n\u0131p, d\u00fczenli \u015fekilde bertaraf ediliyor. Yap\u0131lan dal\u0131\u015f sonucunda deniz dibinde uzun y\u0131llard\u0131r birikti\u011fi de\u011ferlendirilen yakla\u015f\u0131k 50 adet ara\u00e7 lasti\u011fi su alt\u0131ndan \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131larak karaya ta\u015f\u0131nd\u0131.
