L\u00fcbnan’\u0131n Beka Vadisi’nden ba\u015flay\u0131p Suriye’den ge\u00e7erek Hatay’dan Akdeniz’e d\u00f6k\u00fclen Asi Nehri’nde ve G\u00f6lba\u015f\u0131 G\u00f6l\u00fc’nde sonbaharla su s\u00fcmb\u00fclleri (Eichornia crassipes) g\u00f6r\u00fclmeye ba\u015fland\u0131. Ge\u00e7en y\u0131llarda nehrin Antakya kent merkezinde metrelerce mesafeyi kaplayan su s\u00fcmb\u00fclleri, bu kez \u015fiddetli ya\u011f\u0131\u015flarla birlikte nehrin Akdeniz ile bulu\u015ftu\u011fu noktalarda denize akt\u0131. Samanda\u011f il\u00e7esi sahiline akan s\u00fcmb\u00fcller, k\u00fcmeler halinde denizde birikti. Nehrin denizle bulu\u015ftu\u011fu noktalarda yo\u011funla\u015fan su s\u00fcmb\u00fclleri kirli bir g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fc olu\u015fturdu.
